Discover the Rina-Lasnier Library: An architectural and cultural treasure.
The Rina-Lasnier Library is located in the city of Joliette, in the Lanaudière region of Quebec. It is an inter-municipal library serving the 34,275 residents of the cities of Joliette and Saint-Charles-Borromée.
A former church, it stands as a beacon of knowledge, attracting literary enthusiasts, diligent students and the curious from all walks of life. With its architecture blending natural light and open spaces, it offers a setting that inspires discovery and study. The library is divided into two sections: the first floor and the mezzanine.
Montel’s Aetnastak cantilever shelving system was used in the design of this library.
The Rina-Lasnier Library is more than a building; it’s a crossroads of knowledge and a pillar of Quebec’s cultural heritage. It invites us all to learn, to dream beyond our everyday horizons.
